Residential & Dwelling Design
See & Hear
Inspired by Marrom House, this apartment is clearly divided into individual/ rest space and public/ living space with the two floors. The second floor which is in the lower level and has only one unit, is for bedrooms only. The upper floor is for multi-purpose use as a large living space, which mainly contains dining, darkroom, home office, tea house, home theater and so on. This upper floor also has the ability to extend indoor space to the outdoor vertically through the big skylight on the roof. The mobile skylights would let strong daylight come in, making the interior space semi-exterior. The location and size of the window determines the layout of the floor due to the light effect (darkroom and home office). Through the window, the client can go up to the roof garden and enjoy the outdoor space.
